Ah the view....

Most feature celebrities and sports stars, some have employees in various states of undress whilst others include more conventional scenes - love them or hate them, we're all likely to receive a calendar for 2010 from someone in our stocking this Christmas.

One Ashford man though thinks he's uncovered a theme that could really take off. As official photographer for the Liberal Democrats Dan Blood has been taking numerous shots around the town and, after hours of snapping, he's often had to take a rest.

"Ashford's street furniture offers an interesting perspective for those taking the weight off their feet" commented Dan. "Sometimes you're left staring at a brick wall, other times it's a busy road and sometimes it's a shop service entrance!"

"I thought it was unlikely that local residents would have experienced quite as many interestingly placed benches as I had so I thought why not capture them on film and create a calendar out of it."
