"the safety of children should be of paramount concern" Jeremy Adby
The Liberal Democrat group at County Hall are continuing to press for mandatory 20 mph zones outside all Kent schools.
At present KCC's policy for providing 20 mph speed limits depends on an 'assessment framework' including crash records, the proximity of a primary school, housing density and speed of traffic.
Commenting on Lib Dem pressure for mandatory limits outside Kent schools JEREMY ADBY said "the safety of children should be of paramount concern. I understand the need for assessment criteria on local roads but a school, with the high density of children and parents, should be a road safe area, regardless of the school's location."
