Our local representatives have let us down says Lib Dem Barry Wright
The edges of the green are all churned up, making it dangerous for older and disabled residents to leave their cars. Yet, two thirds of the population are retired people!
The lack of maintenance is obvious. No action is taken, despite front page headlines in the Kentish Gazette and pleas by the Town Council. Our local representatives have let us down!
We need a stronger voice for Tenterden! Your local Liberal Democrats put forward Barry Wright as the real alternative to the same administration. On June 4th, you have the chance to vote for Barry Wright, a man of experience and a man of action.
Barry has lived in Tenterden area since 1980. In his time he served as a town councillor for twenty years and as a borough councillor for four, he knows the issues (and frustrations) of local politics!
A man of action, Barry conducted the campaign to bring forward the £3.6 million Leisure Centre. As a psychologist, Barry founded the Tenterden Counselling Service as a registered charity. He also set up the Ashford Centre and the Hastings Centre, who were awarded £100,000 from the Lottery Fund.
Whilst a don at the City University, London, he developed its status and was made a Freeman of the City of London. Prior to this Barry was the Deputy Director of an International Centre for the rehabilitation of the mentally ill and before this he was a
Psychologist with the Home Office (Prison Department). He later headed two departments at Homewood School.
