Ashford Liberal Democrats invite YOU to celebrate at our Saint George's Day Dinner!

St GeorgeDispensing with traditional English reserve, Ashford Liberal Democrats are celebrating Saint George's Day, albeit a day late, with a three course knees up, taking place on Friday April 24th at the Iron Room, Boughton Lees, from 7pm.

The evening will also include guest speakers, Kent Liberal Democrats leader Trudy Dean and Ashford Parliamentary Candidate Chris Took.

"Being born and bred in Wales I remember wearing a daffodil and taking part in the school Eisteddfodd every year. Having lived in Kent since I was 19 I've always thought that the English should celebrate their national day a lot more!" said Chris Took "hopefully we can help kick start a trend."

The menu will incorporate a traditional English soup, Beef in Ale with Cabbage and Carrots and home baked Apple Pie and Cream for dessert.
