Public Consultation Meeting - Wednesday February 18th, 10:30am - International House

Mencap logoAshford Mencap have organised an urgent public consultation meeting to discuss Kent County Council's proposed closure of Day Opportunities Services in Stephen's Walk, Ashford.

The meeting will be held at International House, Ashford, from 10:30am on Wednesday February 18th.

Kent County Council is proposing to close DOS at St Stephen's Walk and to replace that facility with a number of smaller units.

It will mean the closure of a facility that some disabled people in Ashford have been attending for more than 30 years.

Ashford Liberal Democrats would urge all those with an interest in the provision of local health services to attend this meeting if they can and to engage in the subsequent consultation discussions.
