Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Ashford Liberal Democrats

Where's the beard??
I would like to wish all our readers a very happy festive season and the very best for 2008.
2007 has been a fantastic year for Ashford Liberal Democrats. As well as an increase in our membership we delivered solid performances in the Ashford Borough Council elections to become the official opposition.
Our result was the second best Liberal Democrat performance in Kent.
I'm looking forward to another successful year in 2008 when we have the particular honour of hosting the South East Liberal Democrat regional conference.
Away from politics both Josie and I plan to keep running marathons and half marathons on behalf of both WaterAid and the Pilgrims Hospice in 2008 - there shouldn't be any elections next year so it's good to keep busy!
For those of you who enjoy this site but are not yet members perhaps you would like to make a New Year resolution to join the party!
You will be most welcome, whether you wanted to deliver leaflets or just wanted to enjoy the numerous social events we hold.
Thank you all for your tremendous support over the year!
