Ashford Liberal Democrats have launched the largest public survey in their history. As part of the build up to both the local election in May 2007 and the next general election, probably in 2009, Ashford's 60,000 plus electorate will be receiving their surveys shortly.
Chair of the Ashford Liberal Democrats, John Hawes, explained "we are serious about making significant gains at the local elections and about winning the next general election contest. To do that you need to prepare and prepare well. If you do not listen to the electorate from the beginning you cannot expect them to listen to you shortly before they vote."
The surveys are being hand delivered by Royal Mail and will be dropping on the first 10,000 doorsteps in the coming days.
