"I have a New Year's resolution for our local Tory MP" writes Lib Dem campaigner Chris Took.

"Damian should try to get on with his neighbours a little better!"

Chris was speaking with local Lib Dems following the local MPs reported rebellion on the Tories support for Labour's ID card policy.

"Damian clearly has a few disagreements with his neighbouring parliamentary colleague, and Tory party leader, Michael Howard."

Damian's pro European views are well known as is his support for an elected and accountable House of Lords, key policies of the Liberal Democrats.

"In fact I would be happy to pop a Lib Dem membership slip in the post as a Christmas present" added Chris Took.
